Short Biography

Arifur Rahman Bhuiyan is an Assistant Professor and Student Advisor at the Department of Public Administration, University of Dhaka. He had his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Valdosta State University, USA. His areas of academic and research interests include but not limited to Public Policy, Local Government, Climate Change, Institutional and Management Capacity, Social Services and Governance, Service Delivery of Government Institutions, Financial Management & Election Management. He has prolifically published in academic journals both nationally and internationally on issue and areas pertinent to his research and academic interests.

His career reflects a rich blend of academic and practicing public policy management experiences gained in Bangladesh. In addition to his 8 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, he has worked as a research assistant in National Governance Assessment Framework (NGAF), UNDP.  Also, he worked as a researcher in Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) project, World Bank.
