Short Biography:

Sadik Hasan, PhD is an Associate Professor at the Department of Public Administration. He had his doctoral degree in 2013 in E-governance and Public Administration from the University of Sydney, Australia. Dr. Hasan earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. His research focuses on governance, e-governance, e-transparency, South Asian politics, local government, women in South Asia, and parliament. He has published a book titled “Women in Local Government in Bangladesh: A Study of Gram Sarkar” and authored 25+ book chapters and research articles in reputed national and international journals. Dr. Hasan has worked with various government and international agencies, e.g., ICT Division, Governance Innovation Unit (GIU), Prime Minister’s Office, UNDP, World Bank, and Anti-Corruption Commission, Bangladesh and produced several important reports in the field of ICT, governance, right to information, institutional development, etc. Dr. Hasan can be reached at s.hasan@du.ac.bd.
