Short Biography
Nusrat Jahan Chowdhury is an Associate Professor in the department of Public Administration. She was awarded commonwealth scholarship and obtained her PhD in Politics and International Relation from The University of Auckland in 2016. She did her M.Phil. from the University of Bergen, Norway in 2003. She has published articles in national and international journals in the area of NGOs and development; Gender and Politics and Policy Implementation. She has also published a book titled “Chittagong Hill Tracts Accord Implementation in Bangladesh: Promises and Performances”. Prior to her joining as a faculty member in the university, she worked in international NGOs like Concern, Oxfam UK, and in PKSF an Apex Micro credit Institution of Bangladesh. Her area of interests includes: NGOs, gender and politics, policy implementation and governance.
