Short Biography:   

Naznin Islam is a Professor in the Department of Public Administration, University of Dhaka, Dhaka. She started her career in BEPZA and worked for a short period. But her teaching career began in 1994 in the Department of Public Administration, Rajshahi University. She rendered her service in that department as Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. Professor Naznin experienced chairmanship in that department. She joined as an Associate Professor at the University of Dhaka in 2005. During her journey as an academic in the discipline of Public Administration, she taught different subjects like NGO, Environment, Disaster Management, Human Resource Management, Rural Development, Office Management, Organization Theory and Behaviour and Comparative Public Administration. Several articles of Naznin Islam have been published in different recognized journals at home and abroad. She also published a book based on her PhD thesis titled ‘Sustainable Development in Bangladesh’.  Professor Naznin Islam supervised and currently supervising several M.Phil and PhD researcher. She attended different seminars/conferences in the field of Public Administration. Currently, she is researching various issues. Her areas of interest include Climate Change, Environmental Governance, NGO, Civil Society, and Women Empowerment.
